Ahmed Tazmeen (MA in Economics, 2000) has recently been recognized with a Graduate Student Teaching Excellence Award at the University of Manitoba. He taught 137 students a course in Principles of Economics. According to the Head of the Department, Ahmed “has quickly become a valuable instructor in what is perhaps our more difficult course to teach effectively.”
Chris Mushrush (Bachelor's and Master's graduate) recieved the Lifetime Achievement Award given by the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students (NAGPS). Chris served in several psoitions for the national organization (Vice Presoident, Treasurer and Midwest Regional Coordinator) in addition to his work on behalf of graduate-professional students at ISU. He is progressing toward a PhD in the Department of Educational Administration and Foundations.
