The University Avenue Undergraduate Journal of Economics (UAUJE) is a refereed electronic journal run by undergraduate students from Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University. All articles published within this journal have been written by undergraduate economics students. The submitted articles are reviewed by peer evaluators.

To our knowledge, the UAUJE is one of only two on-line economics journal run entirely by undergraduate students in the U.S. and one of only three in the world! The UAUJE exists in order to give undergraduate students an opportunity to participate in the economic community.

For those who plan to pursue advanced degrees in economics, this on-line journal offers the opportunity to become familiar with the submissions and publication process. For those who do not pursue advanced degrees, the UAUJE presents a unique chance to have an article published.

Many undergraduates complete high-quality work. The UAUJE seeks to compile and display such work through the World Wide Web.

The UAUJE is supported by the Department of Economics at Illinois State University, and has received funding from the Calvin K. Kazanjian Economics Foundation. The journal was founded and operated for many years with the support of Illinois Weslyan University. If you have any comments or questions, you can e-mail us at: UAUJE@ilstu.edu. In addition, if you wish to promote the UAUJE on your campus, a promotional flyer is available for distribution.
